Brown Ink Associates represents professional artists and illustrators to the advertising, book publishing and magazine marketplace. We make no distinction between commercial art and fine art. We encourage all of our artists to participate in art exhibitions, gallery shows, local library shows, church exhibits, business incubator exhibits, and any other venue that will give our artist's an opportunity to exhibit and showcase their art. Brown Ink Galleries, give our artists opportunities monthly to exhibit and showcase all over the USA. Our cities include: New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Fort Lauderdale, and more.
Our commission rates are as follows
Commission Rates - In Town Artists 25%
Commission Rates - Out of Town Clients 30%
Commission Rates - Out of Town Artists 30%

We do not carry around any original art. Each artist must provide us with a portfolio of their work, along with duplicate portfolios. The format should be of a flexible format. (Art samples on boards.) We also accept overview notebooks (Art samples in a 8.5" x 11" notebook). No portfolio format should exceed 11" x 14". These sizes permit better shipping and handling. If we have to create the portfolio, we charge for our portfolio service.

In order to serve and market our artists to the wholesale/retail art print and giclee markets, we ask each artist to manufacture his or her own art catalog. This catalog goes to the wholesale/retail markets. We encourage each artist to build their own set of products for this market. This catalog gives us an opportunity to establish a steady income for each of the artists we represent.

Payment arrangements: One third down, One third, One third
Currently we work with several art galleries, libraries and publishers. These galleries will display our artists work on a regular bases. These galleries will give our artists additional opportunities to exhibit, publish and distribute their art throughout the Country.

Brown Ink Associates offers a consultation program to those artists that are having a difficult time getting into the business and need help with packaging their portfolio. This is a twelve month art consultation program geared to each artist individual needs.

Before the final prints are made, a proof will be submitted for your approval. Proofs must be signed, approved and returned to us before the final prints are made.
Brown Ink Associates will write, edit and submit the artist biography, photo, art, press releases and press kits to newspapers, radio and tv stations for the express purpose of getting as much publicity as possible. for each of the artists we represent.
